DBD is one of the masif djs with Technikal and Steve Hill so he must like the "happy" shit aswell. I think it can be bangin and happy at same time but i do see your point

In 2011. After experimenting with some other sounds Dark By Design has taken a conscious decision to back to his routes. This year expect some phenomenal Hardtrance Anthems, More show stopping performances all over the globe, and a new artist album in a run up to DbD’s 10 year anniversary “Decade in the Dark”



So think there maybe will be a change in his music as he attempts to distance himself from HS

Steve Hill is one of the worst producers ever, stealing everything from everyone.

Kidd Kaos is horrible atm, i only like the recent Ryeland releases!

I would disagree with use all I have some of the old masif cds and they are rocking Masif hard trance bootlegs 07 08 and 09 fair enuff some cheese on them but some fuckin banging bootlegs as well. Steve Hill i have respect for as he has been on since long time and live he is brilliant DJ.
Kidd Kaos Opper is actually right first time i ever heard of him was as a tech trance DJ then all of sudden he started playin HS.
As for this style DBD had always made not just dark crazy music if you go back and listen to stuff like The Producer series Disk 1 you will find alot of not so heavy tracks befor he started takin HS influence

Kidd Kaos right now has a clash of intentions. He is clearly loving the techno side of music as he seems to be concentrating more on Ryeland more than anything. But, at the same time, his more recent hard dance releases have still been more minimal with less kick and melody. Think thats where he is going wrong. He has always played hardstyle but used to play decent hardstyle. Could be that there is next to no decent hardstyle left but it could also be that he is bowing down to commercialisation. I think probably because hardstyle is shite now though.

As for Dark By Design. I dont like his happy stuff nearly as much, but it still has an awesome drive to it and a lot of attitude, although, i would definitely prefer to hear his more trancey, darker and more industrial sounding stuff. As opper said, recent release of Check My Sound is pants.
