No, with cdj player like mine, i haven't bpm counter, it's the difference, try to mix with cdj player without bpm counter or vynil player, and after you see the difference, i have a hercule dj mk2 too, i start with this, it's too simple, after i buy cdj player, this is mixin. Very difficult at the beggining to have the same tempo en the 2 turntable, but this is mix, not choose 2 mp3, click on 2 button, and hop, the same bpm, the same tempo. It's not mix, it's my oppinion

So much interpunction and yet so unreadable.

CDJs or software, the difference is in the details really. Aligning BPM is not something that seperates a decent dj from a good one. Making the transitions interesting and smooth does, however.

yeah i know, i'm not for bpm counter, mine haven't, and it's good. I'm not for bpm counter because all people buy cdj with bpm counter, start with this, and can't mix without this after, it's not cool

I like to play on traktor/midi at home because I can do much more then on regular cd player(loops/effects/live mashes etc) but I have no problem to play proper on cdj in the club ;) software/midi/cdj give more options for fun when you mixing, not only crossing on last 30 sec(vinyl) -_-

It is barely noticeable.

Belgians do it better !
The BPM Counter barely works anyway on CDJ's imo ^^

It's the end product that matters, not the way you do it.
Also, beatmatch isn't some holy skill or anything, anyone can learn it, basic technique doesn't make you a good DJ. The fact that a program + a DJ console can sync the tempo's (which a lot of the time are still wrong mind you), and with that i don't mean, push a button and both tracks are playing at the same time and you mix it in, you do all that yourself, you just don't have to correct the tempo/pitch as much, which leaves more time to focus on cutting and whatnot, which is good. Also, i do not care if I'm at party and it's "easier" for a DJ to spin because of his hardware, what counts is the music that's good.

I'm used to not being taking seriously because of my hardware, for all that wanna know, my mixes are made on a Hercules DJ Console MK2!

And I feel insulted every time I hear people say "digital dj's put less effort into it" "its too easy" blah blah blah. I do my best to make my mixes as good as possible, and I've heard a million times, you had it easy because of your hardware, you're not a real DJ and stuff like that.

I'd want CDJ's, sure, but I'm not even remotely close to being able to afford that (Pioneer's and such), and i won't buy crappy € 200 gear that sucks to mix on just for the sake of mixing on "real gear" when my DJ Console is just as good.

Sorry for the massive sudden rant but It's always the same shit about this, it's nothing personal.

Also, i just realised this is the Tournament topic, i don't wanna make a 50 page discussion about this here, so if people really wanna have a go a it we should make a new topic or whatever.

Oh and for the record, I can mix with vinyl and CDJ's just as well as i can with my DJ Console, as i have used many different vinyl setups, mainly from friends, and I've trained on a another friends CDJ's every week for a year or 2 just to make sure i can mix on as much stuff as possible.
