I see no difference between midi controller(Vestax/Hercules/Numark, whatever) and 'real' cdj what are you doing when you're playing on cdj? Yes, you pushing buttons too

No, with cdj player like mine, i haven't bpm counter, it's the difference, try to mix with cdj player without bpm counter or vynil player, and after you see the difference, i have a hercule dj mk2 too, i start with this, it's too simple, after i buy cdj player, this is mixin. Very difficult at the beggining to have the same tempo en the 2 turntable, but this is mix, not choose 2 mp3, click on 2 button, and hop, the same bpm, the same tempo. It's not mix, it's my oppinion
