Gearbox Owns The Night

WEDNESDAY THE 28TH OF SEPTEMBER

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Gearbox/135515043165685

This Wednesday Gearbox has a magnificent line with 4 exclusive mixes and first broadcast of a lot of new tracks that are sure to shatter the hard trance world upon release. Hear them here first.

Time (GMT+1)

20.00 - Thilo & Evanti
21.00 - Aman & Yarsley
22.00 - Dermot Bateman
23.00 - Loony

One of the biggest acts in hard dance to date, Thilo and Evanti have been at the top of the game for years! Recently their style has taken new form and the dark, explicit, underground sound that they produce on their label 'Anaolgue Is Dead' has become a cornerstone in the hard dance scene for that beautiful dark and menacing sound. Sit back and enjoy one of the most original and freshest sounding mixes Gearbox will ever have to offer as Thilo and Evanti blow the roof of your house

Aman & Yarsley are yet another fine example of excellent new tech dance artists breaking into the music scene hailing from eastern Europe. These Ukrainians have only joined the game recently but have already proved to be big talents as they have releases on both Dirty Stop Outs and Digitally Infected. The mix they have made for Gearbox is among one of the best we are likely to hear as it blends the new with the old with a pinch of the downright magnificent in there to help it along it's way.

Dermot Bateman has been hot property this year after fantastic releases such as Freq Show and Pulsate. He is still regarded as one of the best up and coming talents in hard dance and when you listen to his tracks you can see why. A beautiful blend of ripping samples and lethal kicks give this artist a more potent mix of attitude and drive than most other artists you are likely to hear.

Loony will yet again blow the speakers as he takes us on a journey that will include the best of the old and new but keeping that oldschool vibe alive all the way through his mix. A very talented mixer and a dynamite selection of tunes makes this artists mixes some of the most sought after on the airwaves

WEDNESDAY THE 5TH OF OCTOBER

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Gearbox/135515043165685

Time (GMT+1)

20.00 - Pred
21.00 - David Rust
22.00 - Desudo
23.00 - Shaun T

Australia is still very much at the forefront of hard dance at the moment after a very successful Defqon.1 and Pred is one of the DJ's at the forefront of the Australian hard dance scene. Pred is just off the back of a couple of excellent releases in his remix of Overload by Swartz & Schulner and his excellent new solo track corrupted. Both of which offer a beautiful melo sound with a deep, and full bodied sound. His mix is a great reflection of the sound of his productions as well.

Scotlands very own David Rust has also just had a couple of outstanding releases, firstly his track Alliance which has been terrorizing clubs all round Britain for the past few weeks and his latest remix of Costa Pantaziz and Helen G's Beyond The Sea which clearly demonstrates his ability to think outside of the box and come up with a completely original sound for his forte. Expect and excellent variation in unique and techy sounds which are taking the hard trance world by storm right now from this mix.

Gearbox host Desudo gets back on the airwaves after an exciting couple of weeks picking out the best new tunes being released at the moment. After releasing the excellent news that he will be adding the market place of music by releasing music under his new label Gearbox Digital AND that he is bringing Hardstyle back to Gearbox as we also join the harder stream of Fear.FM, this is a very exciting time to Desudo and you will be able to hear it through this full force mix of pounding hard trance

Manchester's Shaun T is one of the hottest prospects and most talented technical DJ's in Britain right now, which is why he is offered the opportunity to showcase his talents on Manchester Global Radio every week on his show. Shaun is a rarity in the hard trance world these days as he ploughs through track after track in action packed sets that keep everyone happy. He is also a very talented producer which is clear after he was one of the winners of the Dark By Design - Blackout Remix competition.

12TH OF OCTOBER

20.00 - Myler
21.00 - Joe-e
22.00 - Phil Mackintosh
23.00 - Desudo

Our alternative and hugely talented resident Myler brings us yet another abstract and beautiful mix taking influence from all forms of music in an hour of orgasmic talent. The show starts with an excellent techno and chill out vibe and progresses amazingly (as always) to a stomping, heart thudding crescendo.

Joe-e, the man behind Virus Audio and Radio Show 'The Virus Sessions' has been at the heart of the hard trance world for a very succesful few years. His label is now hugely respected worldwide with well over 20 releases and an equally impressive artist roster which includes names such as Remo-com, Vandall, Joe-E, KloneZ, Diablik, Busho, Oyaebu and Stana. Being quoted by YOJI and Kutski on BBC Radio 1 plus many more as being one of the "leaders of the new school Tech-Dance sound" Joe is certainly one to be watching out for at the moment!

Phil Mackintosh is a bright, young and enthusiastic rising star in the hard dance scene. His fast cutting, 3 deck mixing skills and effects have impressed a mass of clubbers up and down the UK, and to accompany that is his very energetic stage presence that makes him entertaining to watch. Whoever he plays to, he puts in the best performance he possibly can, making him a true icon to watch. With several track releases on big labels. A Resident for Goodgreef Events. He has played alongside the worlds best and never failed to impress. Now signed to Addict Artist Management and running events for Pfa agency in Middlesbrough. He is truelly making his stamp into the scene.

To end the night, Gearbox host Desudo will play the night out with an exciting blend of all the best from all aspects of hard dance in a dark and delightful mix.

Wednesday the 19th October

20.00 - SickMan
21.00 - Lee Mac
22.00 - Busho & Mark EG
23.00 - Phil Mackintosh

New resident of the show SickMan is at the forefront of the tech dance world right now and is producing some of the most exciting and impressive tracks heard in this genre. With a beautiful blend of dark sinister sounds and rolling techy bass kicks you will struggle to stay still while listening to this truely outstanding mix.

Lee Mac is on top of the world right now after Activator himself was in touch to release Lee's tracks on his label Subground. The two groundbreaking and speaker busting tunes are featured in his brand new mix which progresses through the bpms with perfect execution as we always come to expect from Lee.

Digitaly Infected
Podcast is back on Gearbox once again on Gearbox, this time with a 30 minute guest mix from none other than Mark EG and complimented with a delightful introduction from Busho. Mark EG is one of the biggest names in Britain for hard dance, as his live perofrmances stand out from any other artist with his party hard attitude which rings true while he mixes. Don't be fooled by his dynamic and oturageous stunts behind the decks though, Mark EG is still one of the best DJ's this country has to offer as we never know what to expect from him in a mix, be it hard trance, hardstyle or even a bit of hard techno. All I can asure you, is that you will not be disappointed by this one.

Due to last weeks broadcasting problems, we have decided to re-broadcast Phil Mackintosh's first Gearbox residency mix due to the absolute superb nature of the mix that includes 33 tracks over the hour in this 3 deck special.

26th October 2011

GMT + 1

20.00 - Dermot Bateman
21.00 - DJ W
22.00 - Desudo
23.00 - Loony

Dermot Bateman has been ripping out some of the best tunes of the year with his delicious brand of filthy tech samples and his driving bass lines. Recently, however, his style has become more subdued and he is touching upon a more elegant and techno based hard dance and his mix will be another excellent rendition of various different styles within hard dance and techno

DJ W has had a massive year after his track Value has featured in many compilation cd's for various label albums around the world. He has also had great success with his excellent track Sixth Sense which is a beautifully orchestrated masterpiece that sounds like an operatic piece of hard dance which has come straight from the dark murky depths of the underground.

This week, the shows host Desudo, runs through various styles in hard dance as he begins some minimal hard dance which rings uot the sound of Anologue is Dead and then he progresses into a slightly harder dirtier and darker hard trance that will get your feet moving, before he breaks into a crescendo finish with some oldschool theracords stuff which typifies synth heaven in hard dance music.

Loony keeps to his roots as he explores a more melodic and trance influenced mix with hard hitting reverse basslines which lets you know exactly how hardstyle came about in the first place. Expect a high energy high octane mix that would have your heart shuddering in a club.

AUSTRALIAN SPECIAL

2nd of November 2011

GMT + 1

20.00 - Gatty
21.00 - DJ Husband
22.00 - Nomad
23.00 - Pred

Gatty has made a fantastic return to the scene after finally finishing his latest tracks for Theracords. Spread The Shadow, Gattisfaction and Geck-o's remix of As It Appeared is one of Gatty's best releases to date and one of Therabytes best releases to date also. Hopefully Gatty will contihnue to bring the dark and mysterious sounds to our ears on a more regular basis so that we can see him feature at the likes of Defqon.1 Australia next year.

DJ Husband is an artists who has made a big impact on the British scene over the past 2 years. He has graced a few of Gearbox's favourite labels such as Dirty Stop Outs, Virus Audio and Digitally Infected with some awesome releases such as The Revolution Shall Not Be Televised, Activate and Real Life not to mention his absolutely superb remix of Busho's 'Freak'

We are delighted to announce the first Gearbox mix from the absolutely incredible Nomad. After years of trying to get him on the show we managed to get him at one of the busiest and most successful times in his career as his two latest releases Regulator and Relentless (With Wragg & Log:One) have dominated the charts on Trackitdown.net. Let me also say that this mix is an absolute masterpeice and should be enjoyed by everyone who listens to hard dance.

Resident Pred then finishes the show with another outstanding mix full of a great variety of tunes from the hard dance scene right now. This melodic and uplifting mix is the perfect way to wind down after another superb episode of Gearbox
