In the begin Gearbox was on Hardshockers and there they could play whatever they want :)
And on RHR they only played Hardstyle because RHR is a HS Radio :p

We've not had 3 hard techno. We had 1 schranz from xerxes and 1 from you. Addict made a mix but it was never played. Gearbox is most certainly not just hardstyle. RHR made it difficult to play anything but hardstyle but now we are on hardstation we have the opportunity to bring many different styles to the listeners. At the end of the day neither me or crysonic want to be playing sets that we don't really enjoy and I don't know about crysonic but I feel like most of the nu-style coming out now is utter pish. Same standard layout for every hardstyle tune with boring and already recognisable melodies. It seems like theracords are the only label pushing for something different. Tuneboys last two releases have had great b-side tracks though which I hope people appreciate.

Gearbox makes its a sensational return this Thursday on Hardstation.FM after a 2 month absence from the airwaves. The hosts of Gearbox, Tonic Wasterz, will spin a 4 hour set exploring various styles in dance music that ranges from Techno to Electro, Trance to Techstyle and Hardstyle to Hardcore.

Gearbox will now be airing every Thursday on Hardstation.FM after the demise of Real Hardstyle Radio. Desudo brought Gearbox to internet radio on Hardshockers.FM in Februay of 2009. Unfortunately Hardshockers could no longer be funded and closed at the start of April in 2009.

It wasn't long before Gearbox was picked up by Real Hardstyle Radio, but at this point Gearbox benefited from the help of Crysonic who had been running a similar show also on Hardshockers.

The show established itself as one of the best online for hardstyle as it brought an underground sound to a fairly mainstream station. Not just with the mixes from the Tonic Wasterz but also with the guests mixes from many well respected names in hard dance.

Gearbox boasts an amazing list of DJ's that have mixed for the show which includes names like Kidd Kaos, Alex Kidd, Bootek, Dark By Design, Toneshifterz, Crypsis, Brainkicker, Sasha F, Geck-O, G1 and Twizted, Hardstyle Mafia, Nitrouz, Audio Damage plus many more.

Now the show returns with a clear view to bring the listeners something different as Hardstation.FM allows the lads to explore various different genres in dance music.

Also keep an eye out for an amazing night on Thursday the 4th of November as Desudo celebrates his birthday with a special edition of Gearbox. '

Nice man, glad to hear your back. Ignore any comments anyone else trows at you. It's what this website has become (explains why I choose not to use it as much). Some people need to wind their necks in!
Anyways man keep me posted on the DJs, dates etc and I'll of course tune in, if not I'll always download the sets and rate fair. Thanx

its annoyying now that its only every so often a decent track comes out. but even if the track is decent its still just got usual hardstyle outlaw. intro into a small breakdown, mid intro to another breakdown, breakdown then builds up to what is gonna be a very similar sounding melody to every other melody in the world. the kick then comes in and another small breakdown after the melody into the outro. pish pish pish. its just boring. it doesnt even seem like dj's are using new samples. no-one is branching out and trying anything different.

theres nothing i hate more than breakdowns tbh. there such a waste of time.

A-Bass, cheers for the support buddy. should be better now we can branch out to a lot of different styles. and no need to worry about me and the people who use the site. The only worry is how far they wanna crawl up my ass may cause problems with my bowels.
