"Phetsta is the pseudonym of Dev Pandya, a producer from the Australia who has in recent years championed a new sub-genre of drum & bass known as drumfunk.

One of Phetsta's claims to fame within drum and bass is being the inventor of the widely-used tramen break, during sessions as engineer for Trace. Hailing from west London, he came to prominence with the release of the track Bludclot Artattack in 1993. In 1992, it was a huge hit in the jungle scene, and is noted for pioneering the use of timestretching.

He are now focused on a neurofunk sound which causes great movement during crowds at the many party at which he is known meanwhile at Russia. In addition, he has produced solo, and released in collaboration with many artists, including Trace, Dom and Roland, Fierce, and his brother Matrix.
