"Hour 1: KIR MOKUM (Ultrasound Productions/Nautilus/Anza Dex), attended his first party in Feb. ’96 and started DJ-ing by December of the same year. Ever since he began DJ-ing he has taken his passion for it very seriously, and has been regarded as a “purist” in both positive and negative contexts. Josh's ear for music is refined from a listeners perspective as well as a djs perspective. In the early stages of his DJ career he made a philosophical commitment to himself that he wouldn’t play “filler” tracks, or cheat in mixes. He has stuck to it throughout the years and this sets him apart from the droves of DJs that have come into the scene since it’s inception. Jungle/Drum’n’Bass is Josh's primary focus due to it's ever-changing styles, interpretations of other genres of music, and the flow that comes with breakbeats at that tempo. His track selections possess qualities that allow to be played off each other through syncopation or by adding to the musicality/effects. He has also been known to dabble with ultra deep House/Techno and Down-tempo on occasion. Since late 2002 he has also been producing his own jungle/DnB. Through his skills and experimentation he has found his feet in terms of methods and approach, leaving him with multiple tracks that showcase his diverse range in style.

Hour 2: We pay tribute to the upcoming SIGNAL AND NOISE FESTIVAL @ Video In Studios, April 27-29. Signal and Noise, Vancouver's only underground multimedia festival, is in effect! Running Thursday through Sunday, it takes in video art, installations and live performances that put the boots to the classic hierarchical structure of stuffy old art festivals, daring to go one step beyond by burning down the concert hall and reminding us that just because it's not popular, doesn't mean it can't be a party."
