"I'm applying to the School of Theater atCalArts (yes, I'm straight) and I wanted something for myportfolio/interview other than the local shows I've done for little tono money.
I've had this idea for quite some time (obviouslyinfluenced by the Qlimax dvd's i watch regularly and productions suchas Taboo), but now i'm starting to shape it into an actual thing withan actual storyline and actual characters.
It'll essentially belike listening to a DJ Mix with a full production behind it. Someparts will be animation, some live theater, some film, live dancing,and quite possibly live accompanying instruments/vocals.
Thestory is still being shaped, but I do have the set pretty much down (inthis show, the music drives the story; i feel that its the music's turnto be in the driver's seat). It'll probably change another9130587374501385401875130570349861408148103 684501341 times if iactually get around to putting this thing on, but maybe it'll give youguys a jist of what i have in mind...

Ihave it mixed and it runs a little over an hour... Again this is justsomething I'm playing around with while the summer passes on... I know you can't say much without knowin the story, [essentially a society broken up to 3 parts - the elitist contollers, the sheep (majority of the society's population which are too scared to question the elitists), and the "rebels" that are in tune with the same higher power the elitists are; essentially the retelling of the classic story of a revolt] but hatdo you guys think? Would you like to see something like this actuallyput into production? Any advice or comments or critiques?
I now have the show's mix finalized minus a couple of transitions i need to make semi smoother/more cohesive.... Anyways, take a listen!

Listen to it not as a party mix, but rather as if it'll have full lighting cues, stage presence, props, and visuals that correspond to the music. Additionaly, sorry if the large size bugs you, I found most all of these songs at 320kbs give or take a few tracks I still need to rip from vinyl.
