"Hardtek is not dead! It's just not as good as it used to be.. It's also only on an outdated medium of playing music which goes for far too much money on Discogs, but it's very fun to mix
For me, this period from 2007 - 2012 truly marked the peak of Hardtek as a genre, like a lot of genres that emerged in the late 90's & early 2000's; Hardfloor and Hardtek really found their sound post 2005, from about 2007 I would say great artists that pioneered the scene perfected the art of high octane 190bpm slammers, silly melodies, and large reverse bass kicks; albeit with maybe a few too many dubstep breakdowns (definitely a product of the time).
This mix is by me, MI-ZI, it's my second recorded vinyl mix and hopefully more shall be coming soon
Shefftek shall always continue to push this type of Hardtek, alongside all the other great Tekno subgenres in the UK!
