Why are (the majority?) of these sets only tagged as 'early terror', while a lot of these (a lot of French) tracks are from post 2000 even until this day? Greets!

You mean these sets should get the Frenchcore tag, or do you mean Terror? I often struggle with choosing the right tags, so help is always appreciated. This particular set was only tagged with speedcore, so yesterday i reluctantly added the early hardcore tag.

In the real world tracks are Hardcore/Speedcore. Bar the Gwaki tracks (re-released) these track came out on French labels last few years.
Now say they all came out in the 90's on here they would be called Early Terror. On here tunes that came out recently are also called Early Terror and Early Hardcore.
So who would know? One thing it should not be called Frenchcore. Try either Speedcore or Early Terror maybe or both? Terror maybe?
All these fictitious tags created on here just complicate things. I've had my say on this years ago not going back there now. The main thing is they're up here now thanks.

'Terror' tag i suppose for these newer post 2000/2010/2020 faster 200+ bpm tracks, even if they're French. 'Early terror' is appropriate if there are older tracks in the set. The case is & wil always be the same: if you name a style for the period it appears ('Millenium Hardcore', ''Early Hardcore') or for the intrinsic qualitative elements ('Breakbeat') you will get troubled. I don't think you can tag consequentially at the same time if you have this division between the period & the intrinsic qualitative tagging.
You already pointed out you use the tag 'Hardcore' up here for millenium mainstream hardcore & later, so would be weird to tag this newer French underground hardcore 'Hardcore', although it is in the ground hardcore. Stupid genre names anyway, considering the group around 'No New Style!!!!', when that sentence was cained around 1998-1999 condemning the slower tracks at that time if i remember correctly; tracks you would now tag 'Early Hardcore' because they're old enough to be called that way. The newer tracks produced by the group centered around Ouwe Stijl Is Botergeil etc. are also tagged'Early Hardcore', for me more of a marketing tactic than something else.
Anyway, i might be nitpicking, but if i spreak for myself, i do find it handy to have some kind of reference before listening, be it a tracklist or some kind of definition of style. Greets!

I understand what you mean, we all want to have some reference before listening. I guess thats why we ended up with so much tags. I think i did not choose the terror tag myself (but early terror instead) because in my mind its reserved for these sets; https://lsdb.nl/set/236800/persecute-estentorian-podcast-18-12-05-22

What's wrong with the catalogue number behind it? I understand the correct name is ? ? ? ..but wouldn't this avoid any possible futher confusion from users who do not know this (yet)?
