Shoutbox: [08:21] dannytoplesdj: So tomorrow is the last Qlimax, I'm curious who will play at it, probably 90 percent will be the most popular Hardstyle artists of the last 20 years, which is obvious.

More info
Welcome to a new edition of Hardtrance Classics! Once again I've chosen to showcase a true hardtrance/-style pioneer. The one and only Italian harddance master: Luca Antolini!

So many great productions, I don't even know where to start. Lots of those you can also find in my 'Saifam Speciale' mixes. Luca (co-)produced many early hardstyle bangers. Artists used alot more aliases back then. It wasn't always obvious who made what tracks. (still isn't, lol!)

For this mix I focused on the hardtrance side of Luca. The era I picked the tracks from range from about 2001 till 2005.

I would rather call it minimalistic! It's indeed awesome how a few well arranged notes can carry so much energy :bomb:

Hardtrance becoming more minimalistic is IMO the birth of hardstyle. Must have been around late '02 and the entirety of '03. Golden years
