“The mix was recorded on a Novation Twitch, a nifty little controller that allows me to manipulate and mutilate anything I want on the fly whilst keeping the aesthetic rooted in one tune in, one tune out. The mix is frantic, yet restrained and takes full advantage of the controllers effects functions. For me, DJ’ing is about selection, regardless of the medium with which the music is represented. I treat DJ’ing the same way as producing, always trying to keep the listener on their toes. As for the mix, there is brand new unheard and unreleased material from myself, including an unreleased collaboration with Maddslinky, AKA Zed Bias called “Passing Us By”. There are also some firm favourites from the producers and mates I’ve been sending music to since day one, some released, some not. In case you wanted to know, I chose to start with “Pusherman” by Curtis Mayfield because for the next hour… I have everything you need.”
