It's a musical preference thing, not a written rule there are no written rules in music if you like the way you spin your songs as a DJ that's enough.
ps 38 tracks in 1 hour isn't that fast especially not when it's a 2 man mix

Agreed, the djs showcase the part of the song the DJ likes best, i dont see a problem with it if it works on the dancefloor,
