Thème de la City Parade 2009 :
Chaque année avec un slogan fort, nous essayons de sensibiliser les citoyens et en particulier les jeunes, qu’il faut d’urgence changer certains comportements de notre société.
- 2006 “Change the world”.
- 2007 ”Make love not war” (en collaboration avec Amnesty International)
- 2008 “Save the planet, music 4 the earth”.
- 2009 “Music for peace”.
Il y a de trop guerres dans le monde, Congo, Somalie, Darfour, Irak, Afghanistan, Palestine …
La population civile et surtout les enfants et les femmes en sont les victimes.
Aussi en Belgique nous sommes malheureusement trop souvent confrontés à une violence gratuite;
le meurtre de Joe Van Holsbeek pour un lecteur MP3 à Bruxelles, le meurtre raciste de la petite
Louna Drowart et de Oulematou Niangadou à Anvers, le meurtre de Bart Bonroy pour une cigarette refusée à Ostende …
Violence absurde et gratuite! Vraiment, il est temps que ça change. Je suis bien conscient que la City Parade ne va pas changer le problème, mais si pendant la campagne de promotion de la City Parade et le jour de la City Parade, nous arrivons ensemble à sensibiliser des milliers jeunes présents … c’est déjà un petit pas en avant.
Nouvelle formule :
Bien conscient de la crise économique et du pouvoir d’achat des citoyens. J’ai décidé d’aider avec
les moyens qui sont à ma disposition. Après 6 années consécutives où la soirée de clôture était payante, la City Parade redevient entièrement GRATUITE!

- Parade : 16h00 à 18h00
- Closing party : 18h00 à 24h00
- After party : 23h00 à 06h00 (10 eur)

Faire la fête pour la bonne cause? La City Parade se clôture par une soirée de récolte de fonds au profit de MSF. Pourquoi MSF ?
Les Médecins Sans Frontières apportent leur aide aux populations en détresse, aux victimes de catastrophes d'origine naturelle ou humaine, de situation de conflit, sans aucune discrimination raciale, religieuse, philosophique ou politique.
Médecins Sans Frontières est une organisation humanitaire, médicale, neutre et indépendante. Le soutien direct de centaines de milliers de particuliers est la garantie de notre indépendance d'action. Grâce à des initiatives de récolte de fonds comme celle-ci, MSF est active très rapidement en cas d'urgence et intervient dans des crises oubliées. Vos dons nous permettent également de poursuivre nos activités partout dans le monde.
La date de la City Parade :
- Pour garantir une activité commerciale normale le samedi, j’ai décidé d’organiser l’évènement un dimanche !
- Organiser la City Parade un dimanche va accentuer le caractère familial de l’évènement. Chaque année de plus en plus de parents viennent à la City Parade en famille.
- Toutes les personnes qui travaillent le samedi vont enfin pouvoir participer à la City Parade.

Zoals ieder jaar, trachten wij met een sterke slagzin de jeugd en in het algemeen “de bevolking” bewust te maken dat er dringend zaken moeten veranderen in onze samenleving. Zoals bvb:
- 2006 “Change the world”
- 2007 ”Make love not war” (in samenwerking met Amnesty International)
- 2008 “Save the planet, music 4 the earth”.
- 2009 “Music for peace”
Wereldwijd zijn er oorlogen aan de gang, Kongo, Somalië, Darfour, Irak, Afghanistan, Palestina ...
De bevolking en vooral kinderen en vrouwen zijn hier de slachtoffer van. Ook in België worden we helaas te vaak geconfronteerd met noodloos geweld; moord op Joe Van Holsbeek voor een MP3 in Brussel , moord op Bart Bonroy voor een sigaret in Oostende, racistische moord op de driejarige Louna Drowart en haar oppas Oulematou Niangadou in Antwerpen ….
Absurd en gratis geweld! Het wordt echt tijd dat er verandering in komt en dat het stopt!
Ik ben er goed van bewust dat de City Parade het probleem niet zal oplossen.Maar als we samen
al is het maar de mensen kunnen sensibiliseren, is het al een kleine stap in de juiste richting.
Nieuwe formule :
Aangezien de economische conjuctuur alles behalve is wat het zou moeten zijn, heb ik besloten om na 6 jaar weer heel het evenement weer volledig GRATIS te houden.

- Parade : 16u tot 18u
- Sluitingsfeest : 18u tot middernacht
- After party : 23u tot 06u (10 eur)
benefietfeest voor artsen zonder grenzen in Palais des Congrès. Er hebben zich al een hele reeks Belgische dj’s aangeboden om gratis te spelen!
Feesten voor het goede doel! De City Parade sluit af met een benefietfeest ten voordele van Artsen Zonder Grenzen. Waarom Artsen Zonder Grenzen?
Artsen Zonder Grenzen biedt wereldwijd medische hulp aan mensen in nood, aan slachtoffers van rampen, epidemieën en oorlogssituaties, zonder onderscheid van ras, religie of ideologie.
Artsen Zonder Grenzen is een humanitaire, medische, neutrale en onafhankelijke organisatie. Deze onafhankelijkheid wordt gegarandeerd door de rechtstreekse steun van tienduizenden schenkers. Door benefietconcerten als dit van de City Parade kan AZG snel en doeltreffend optreden in noodsituaties en aanwezig zijn in vergeten crisissituaties. Uw gift geeft ons tegelijkertijd de mogelijkheid om door te gaan met onze wereldwijde hulpverlening.
De datum van City Parade :
- Om de normale economiche activiteit van een stad te waarborgen, heb ik besloten om het
evenement te organsieren op een zondag.
- Jaarlijks zien we meer en meer deelnemers in familie komen naar de City Parade.
Het organiseren van het evenement op een zondag zal die trend nog meer accentueren.
- Alle mensen die op zaterdag werken gaan eindelijk kunnen deelnemen.

There are too many wars in the world: Congo, Somalia, Darfur, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, etc.
The civil population and above all women and children are the victims of these wars.
In Belgium too, we are unfortunately too often confronted with gratuitous violence: the murder of Joe Van Holsbeek for an MP3 player in Brussels, the racist murder of the little Louna Drowart and Oulematou Niangadou in Antwerp, the murder of Bart Bonroy in Ostend because he refused to give a cigarette, etc.
Absurd, senseless violence! Yes, it is time things changed. I am very aware that City Parade will not change the problem but if, during the City Parade promotion campaign and on the day of City Parade, we can succeed together in raising awareness among the thousands of young people present … that will be a small step forward.

I am very aware of the effects of the economic crisis and the purchasing power problems of citizens. That is why I have decided to help with the means available to me. After 6 consecutive years with an admission charge for the closing evening, City Parade will revert to being totally FREE!
