I have only recently started recording my mixes using software called Audacity but the problem is all my mixes are like 500 or 600 mb even though they last an hour or so so that makes it hard for me 2 fit them on to a cd..
does anyone know how to zip the mixes down so that they are smaller?
any help would b greatly apprectiated

You probably got .wav files. Download a convert program to convert your .wav mixes -> mp3.
Your files will be much smaller ;)

Or record/export directly to MP3

Audacity->Edit->Preferences->File Formats
(Select the format you want from the drop down box), if you want MP3 you'll have to install:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq?s=install&item=lame-mp3

Then use find library so it lets you use it :thumbsup:

Shadow Interaction
'CD-TAG' works great, fast and easy to convert wav files to mp3

just drag it in the field, click on encode, and there you have it!

theres also an option if you want to replace the wav with mp3 or not :)
