Tips and tricks for uploading a liveset

Hello lsdb users and uploaders,

First of all thanks for using lsdb as a tool for displaying and categorizing livesets. In this topic you find some nifty tips and tricks to make full use of this website.

Retention of your download link
Remember, we all dislike when getting to a set here and find out it's no longer available because the file has been deleted. Therefore it's handy to choose a place to upload which has no expiration of that link;

Upload hosts with no expiration (Unless deleted by uploader or copyright infringement)

Choosing categories;
There is nothing as awfull as finding a set that has been listed as a certain style. After downloading it you find out it has only one track of the style you searched for. I think the 33% rule is good for this. Example; When a mix has 10 tracks, and 3 of them have a certain category then you can add this category. For long sets with lots of tracks we depend on your judging skills of categorizing (You can then abandon the 33% rule). Remixes of tracks get the category of the style of the remix.

Adding a tracklist
Be sure to add a tracklist. Even if you don't know the complete tracklist. Chances are the tracklist will be eventually made complete with the help of other lsdb users.

Use the bitrate/file type function
Some audiophiles are always looking for a better quality of a mix they already have. You can determine the bitrate in your audio player. If you upload to upload hosts and to streaming hosts pick the bitrate of the mp3 file on your computer.
