I've really enjoyed the 2011 tournament, but the 2012 edition was very very messy. I'd say, host a tournament with a solid organisation scheme going on, or do not host it at all.

2010 was horrible, that was all my fault.
2011 had a great start but also derailed before the end.
I think 2012 was about the same? I don't know I didn't really do anything with it.

 >.< I still got all my 2011 files. I'll dig through them and my post them for someone to pick up of!

It's backwards!
I tried to salvage the tournament in 2012, but it was a fkn mess

I would suggest you guys make some solid rules about people being late as fuck with turning in mixes.

Tournaments don't have the be 15 rounds with ten hundred different DJ's. The most successful tournament to date, took less than a month to put together, whole tournament decided and broadcast in the space of 5 hours.

http://lsdb.eu/list/event/21164/lsdb-competition.html

And it's only January. Must we start talking about Tournaments so soon?

Also, to ensure that DJ's take it seriously, take a deposit of money, if they don't send their sets in on time, they lose their fucking money and it goes in a pot towards the winner. Then we get no fucking about from loads of arseholes who wanna be a part of the tournament without actually abiding by the deadlines.

If everything is arranged well, I might join, but also thinking about judging instead, not sure :p
