General discussion / 10 Sets a day/user

Everybody's favourite Belgian
As you all know...LSDB is very slow lately, A lot of new members are registered and that\'s very good news... but the site is getting slow
one other problem is the problem of the amount of sets uploaded by some users (most of them will know that i\'m talking about them)
Some of them post 50 sets on 5 minutes time... That\'s to much
Most of the sets are only downloaded maybe 10 times on the whole period. that\'s why i want to propose something like a limit for the amount of sets posted per day/per user...

Let me know what you think...

ps: If you think you are offended... say it... maybe i will apologize -_-

Thank you :)

Altijd goed geleid en shit
I don\'t think that\'s a big problem (regarding the site performance).
I think the biggest problem atm is the genre filtering (only view your favourite genre), because the site has to create a different list of comments/sets for every person that has different favourite genres...

So theoretically, if as much as much people as possible switch that function off till we find a solution, the server might run smoothly?

Not saying that it is, or isn\'t what everyone should do, it would be extremely biased of me to say \"everyone just switch it off for now\", because i already do not use it :p

Or someone is just LOIC\'ing us ;) nah, j/k :p

Anyway, even though i don\'t think so, but if there is anything i can do, feel free to ask :)! I\'d love to help in any way possible.

Beetje rare argumentatie...

edit: offended is a big word.. addressed would be a better choice -_-

Yes, good idea ! (If performances of this website is better)

I edit (about) 5 to 20 livesets per day !

So I will publish the top 10 livesets I would find :p

Layout ? God idea too ^.^

I cant see many people abiding by the rule of only looking at your favourite genre. Most people do that anyway. Plus, i dont really fancy missing out on any decent sets.

How about we just remove some users who use the site regularly that i dont like. That way, i remain in a good mood and the site runs that little bit quicker.

If anyone disagree's, please mail me your thoughts, as your views and opinions are important to me, if they agree with my views and opinions.

If MSTX says that the amount of sets uploaded is not the main problem, then why bother changing that?

If MSTX says that the filter causes the problem, why not delete the filter? Anyone AGAINST deleting the filter, please say so.

Me, not interested in things like techno industrial and other stuff i don't listen to. Without favourites filter it will take ages to see if interesting new sets are posted.

i barely use the filter anyways

wtf we have good uploaders that ul more than that so no

but if some uploaders really ul just rubbish noboy listens maybe then not a bad idea...but also then i think a warning and then a ban is enough

...and at least then i would be a deserved ban :')
