General discussion / Is downloading sets from LSDB.nl illigal downloading ?

Hey i was wondering if its illigal to download from this homepage ? any set, anything:P ?

and, when a dj uploads his own song to fx youtube, is it illigal to download the song with a "youtube downloader" program ?

this is not illegal in any way.

If you're planning on spreading it; then your actions are illegal, if the tracks have been signed/planned for release or if the artist is officially registered.

Most of the sets here are from radio so it's not illigal
And a lot of sets are from Home DJ's so this is not Illigal too ;)

because downloading is not illegal; if it were; the whole internet world would collapse.

I changed my post btw; for the reason that there are actually no rules for spreading livesets. there are proposed rules like "paying to play out" and sorts, but since nobody is actually following them, the livesets scene is too big for company's to go accuse everyone they find sharing sets.

when CD's are being uploaded, they get deleted, because that is illegal, the sets that are on this site have been broadcasted by radiostations, or have been uploaded by or given away by the artists/dj's themselves. Thats not illegal :thumbsup:

Most people dont know but LSDB needs to pay licencing in order to publish the set. Same as podcasting works.

Even if it are ready streams it has to be paid.


The thing is that downloading the content is, atleast in NL, legal so there is not really a big thing.
