Ridiculous statement. Showtek produce hardstyle music, as does technoboy, d-block and s-te-fan, frontliner, wildstylez, headhunterz.. Its just becoming more mainstream all the time. and in a lot of case, becoming a lot worse. in saying that ive actually really liked d-block and s-te-fans last couple of releases as well as frontlniers last few.

The artists you just summed up dont produce hardstyle(anymore), they produce nustyle.

i dont agree with the nu-style tag. i would agree that nu-style is a variation of hardstyle. same way hardstyle is a variation of early hardstyle. Its all hardstyle to me.

same with techno... laurent garnier - crispy bacon is a far step from anything that popof makes. they souind nothing alike, but still techno all the same.

Hardstyle has this really elitist following that demands that early hardstyle - hardstyle and nu-style are all completely different genres. Almost as though everyone who fights this cause is trying to be recognised for their musical knowledge,.

I think its fair to say there are a lot of people who use this site that are arrogant arseholes that think they know everything and anyone else who doesnt know as much as them is an insignificant member of the site.

This is a completely different subject to what i was hoping to discuss. I was more interested to find out what peoples thoughts were on Q-Dance dictating what DJ's play and what the fans hear?

Again, there's no such thing as Nu-Style. People like ScuL don't decide that. B2S and Q-Dance that prenounces the different stages with the names Main and Raw are the ones who decide that. A small group like us against the 150.000 followers of Q-Dance.. who do you think will win?

I realy don't care what line-up Q-Dance came up with every event cause if you realy love/like hardstyle you will enjoy 90% of the DJ's on a stage. Still I think some DJ's deserve a spot more than other DJ's but we can't change that. We never will.

Nu-style and Raw-style are variations of hardstyle though. All hardstyle at the end of the day.

I wouldnt say i was being arrogant at all, i dont know half as much about hardstyle as other people, and in reading this topic i have no doubt im gonna learn a lot more than i already know.

I try my best never to be arrogant about music.

i agree with your last point, i would enjoy at least 90% of what i hear live. if you dont like the main stage find a different stage, simples.
