Steve Helstrip-Thrillseekers Planning April's Podcast, sans tracks from Armada since they have banned the use of their tracks over 2mins in podcasts. That includes my new track, Savanna, which I was going to play.

Armada isn't outright banning Armada tracks, but they are severly limiting them. They must be 2 minutes at max and must be taken offline after 30 days.

Armada Music (Armin van Buuren) has sent out letters to DJs informing them that the are no longer allowed to use Armada tracks in their podcasts. This includes removing old podcasts which included tracks from Armada.

WTF , DJ Can't play track only that track was copyrighted to Armada Music...

Due to a rather unfortunate situation with Armada Music / Cloud 9 the Intuition Podcast is currently not available through iTunes. Recently Armada / Cloud 9 has expressed that they do not want their releases to be featured in the Intuition Podcast. Despite efforts on my behalf trying to secure that the legally required royalty payments are made to them (by submitting playlists to the Dutch copyright authorities Buma/Stemra and Sena) their opinion has not changed. This has several direct effects:

- iTunes has (hopefully temporarily) removed the Intuition Podcast from iTunes due to a complaint from Armada Music / Cloud 9.
- I have had to delete all Podcasts containing Armada / Cloud 9 releases from my website.
- I have salvaged Intuition Podcast 016 by cutting out their releases mistakenly put in there (the artist did not mention the fact that the release was signed to Armada / Cloud 9 when they sent me the promo, hence I accidentally put it in).

You can currently still download Intuition Podcast 015 and 016 by clicking on the RSS logo on the right of my website (this file can be viewed in iTunes like the regular podcast). Hopefully it will be business as usual very soon so that iTunes will continue to deliver the podcast to you. Once we are back up I will immediately put in the video report of ‘Menno Solo’ which took place last year so you have something to look forward to.

HOW TO USE ARMADA LABEL TRACK FROM April ,2010

1. When playing our (Armada) tracks, you (the podcaster) must not play it for over two minutes uninterrupted. Upon the conclusion of two minutes, you (the podcaster) must immediately raise the frequency of the track to 50,000 Hz. This will ensure that no human can hear the track, but the Armada-loving dogs, bats and whales will still be able to have a good time.

2. Dogs, bats and whales and other crustaceans with their own podcasts can still play our (Armada) tracks because we don't want to anger Poseidon. However you (the nautical/mammal podcaster) must submit for written approval and sign with your paw, wing or flipper. Please note that any member of the Doolittle family is considered a human and therefore must comply with rule one.

3. When playing our (Armada) vocal tracks, you (the podcaster) can play the full track as long as you (the podcaster sing horribly over the top of it and shout 'Come on' and 'Yes' over the breakdown.

4. If you have archived podcasts with our (Armada) tracks in them, you must edit over the top of them with a random moment from a Carry On film. We (Armada) are most fond of Carry On Up The Khyber, Carry On Camping and Carry On Spying. Please do not use Carry On Screaming though - Dash Berlin considers it to be his least favourite and will go on a psychopathic rampage if he sees it again.

5. We (Armada) may revoke your ears if we believe you have heard too many of our (Armada) tracks. Your ears will be sold on eBay and the money will be used to finance yet another reissue of a classic that you've all heard to death.

6. We (Armada) will control what you see and here. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. Armada double plus good.
