General discussion / Who begun hardstyle?

hello,

many sources says many versions of it, what do you think about it? Who begun? Dana? Prophet? Scot Project? Anyone else?

for me yoji biomehanika was my 1st taste of hardstyle with his iguana remix

I think it started back in '98 when we had Newstyle in the Netherlands and Jumpstyle in Belgium. Very soon these 2 styles where combined with German Hardtrance and the original hardstyle was born. The Italians also made quite a contribution to the variation we started to hear everywhere around '99/'00 and '01.
The hardstyle from nowadays is more a slow hardcore variation with too many happy trance melodies.

Technoboy's eerste release was in 1999.

Eerste hardstyle feesten bij Q waren ook pas vanaf 2000.

was it not Q dance that first used the word hardstyle at an event bringing together the harder styles or something? Which at the time was suppose to mean all hard styles of dance music

Add him on facebook & ask him if he has ever produced Hardstyle an you'll get laughed at by him.

& I've only heard him play 1 Hardstyle track... Y.A.G.O. - Mother F ... dono if he has played any others but it would be a very rare occasion.

bij sommige gokte ik. Technoboy is wel feitelijk 1 van de oudste hardstylerts en grondleggers
