Last week it was reported on ITM the Australian Q-dance team would be following up their recent Defqon.1 triumph with another installment of their X-Qlusive parties – where a particularly special member of the global hard dance fraternity is showcased, and given the reigns to host the evening. Italy’s Technoboy will be here for X-Qlusive Technoboy in December, and ITM can now reveal the international lineup of guests who will be joining him at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.

Q-dance are well known for the larger-than-life spectacle they bring to their events, an approach that was well on display at the outdoor Defqon.1 Festival last month but they’re equally able to blow minds with their indoor parties. Last year’s X-Qlusive Showtek in Sydney was definitely an event that won over the local hard dance fraternity, so check out some of ITM’s past coverage for an idea of what to expect.

Italian fashion maestro Technoboy definitely has a reputation as one of the best dressed DJ/producers working in hard dance, but this is one that’s matched by his consistency in the studio with his hardstyle anthems reaching every corner of the globe. He put these skills to good use when he hammered the European crowds at X-Qlusive Technoboy in Amsterdam earlier this year, and you can be sure he’ll be bringing his A-game for the Australian edition.

What not many people know is that I have been performing as a DJ long before I changed my name to Technoboy. In the early 90’s I already spun music like Italohouse and electro funk in clubs in Italy. I have played in unknown gay clubs for crowds of only 50 people. Mostly men, yes. Friends told me that people on the Internet sometimes call me gay because of the way some of my tracks sound. Or because I wear classy outfits instead of baggy t-shirts with my logo on it. I couldn’t care less. The first visitors of house parties were gays and blacks. The first parties I played at were gay parties. Dance music unites people, for me everyone is equal. Being a ladies lover though I’m happy to see women on the dance floor as well. Especially blondes: after all I’m a real Italian!
