As for the very first time he got in Recklinghausen, under the civil name Oliver Immick, the light of day on 17.12.1984 to face, of course, no one thought of a connection between the music and him.
The innocent age of 8 years teaching music in the first school quickly turned out that he developed more than just a passion for all kinds of music. Of its primary school music teacher, he learned about the music really understand in a very short time the entire basics that you need. Since he grew up in humble circumstances, it was not possible to ensure his parents to him a musical education, so it still remained the only school music lessons, and the media such as radio and television, to further develop his skills and knowledge.
By a very large chance he had at age 12 the first point of contact with the electronic dance music when he saw the cover with Chucky the killer doll from the local CD and record shop, he had to have it easy. Because his parents could not provide him with money to buy it, he implored the dealer plate on this CD to lay back, not knowing what was there for music on it. After a whole week of hard work, the neighbors, he could finally reward hisself with this CD. He bought it, scampered home and put the CD in the player. When he heard at once hard-hitting 170 BPM, he was skeptical at first, because he never got to hear this music somewhere before. But since he had worked hard for this CD, he heard it again and again, thinking he built each track together and apart again and also tried to see a pattern in which, as it brought with his music teacher. The more often he heard the music all the more like he had it. In the age of MTV and VIVA for one day he saw the live broadcast of the Love Parade in Berlin, with a huge interest he watched the entire transmission and noted with great enthusiasm that this music connects large crowds and people can immerse themselves in a different world. Later in the evening came the direct transfer of the Victory Column Dj sizes as you like Marusha, Westbam Rush and hanging up could look directly at the fingers. The little boy with his Chucky Thunderdome, who sat all day in front of this live broadcast was completely mesmerized by the rotating black gold on the turntables. Since then he has continued to constantly deal with the topic of Dj-ing and electronic music. He collected all sorts of music he could only get their hands on and always took care of the music at family gatherings and other private parties. At 15, he organized in his school auditorium to bridge the long break for lunch a student disco for his classmates because he had to cover a wide range of music there to suit everyone but still with body and soul was there, he made very quickly to attention, so that older students came to him from the final year courses and booked him for their closing parties. It was followed by many other parties and events of various kinds, from a birthday party on high school graduation party up the golden wedding, he played wherever he could and could. Due to the wide range of music offered by him he mutated entirely to purpose party-Dj and Dj Olli was called first. With the great times only dream to someday play electronic music, he was financed by the performances and with an additional part-time job, with 16 his first professional DJ equipment consisting of two turntables and a mixer. The current vinyls were purchased weekly and has practiced with the utmost dedication and love in every free minute.
At the age of 17 years finally discovered the manager of the Pflaumenbaum (Recklinghausen), the young Party-DJ at a private party and immediately offered him an engagement as a resident, which he accepted also.
After 2 weeks of working as a resident DJ in charge became clear that his greatest potential lies in electronic music, so they sent him to the parent company of the chain in the Greater Disco Royal Palace / shooter in Mülheim to audition.
Since he was able to convince the first evening and the audience had already wrapped around your finger quickly with his fresh style, he was offered also to play the Opener-Set at the re-opening in Munster. Hard Bass, Hands Up and Hardstyle were musical since his sole companion, since the specialization he only appeared under the pseudonym 'DJ Pombo'. Up to and including age 21 Years he put on countless Partsys and events outside of the Ruhr.
Unfortunately, he then met with the decision to embark on new careers and made independently from then on in the financial services industry. To begin this activity, he still tried to bridge the gap between the financial services and the music to get, but with the knowledge that both can’t work, so maybe he met, from today's perspective, the wrong decision and let the matter rest with the music up. Since then, he only went as a skeptic party guest in clubs and discos, and then at some point the desire grew! He made the statement in 2010 that he no longer is the same thing without the music and especially without the merry crowd. When the new, old love kindled again, he made the decision to hang up his rather successful, he built himself self-employed on the nail and fully and fix again on music.
By partying of course he got to know many new people, also including one or the other DJ was represented. Just this DJ convinced him of his old style and departing to move with the times. From then on, he played only electric, but which very quickly became bored so he moved to the minimalist area, where he was then ultimately depend on good old TECHNO.
First, he only played on privately organized after-hours parties. Since then, he had climbed for fun times over the rooftops of a disco called him since all only Karlson on the roof, from which his pseudonym Karlson vD arose.
The desire was more often he played on private parties greater hang up in countless clubs and to move the measure. Plagued by health problems, he had frequently setbacks in the design and living his dream, to accept. Since he has always been very determined, he fought back after every setback. His biggest success in new waters, was the participation of the floor and win at 'The Sound of Butan' the legendary Butan.
